Primary School (Class 1–5) — Strong Foundations, Strong Faith

Primary school is where habits harden. A child who learns to read properly, calculate confidently, and pray consistently in Classes 1 to 5 rarely loses those gains later. Our primary program in Kasur is built on that principle: serious daily teaching of English, Urdu, Mathematics and Science — never delegated to mere worksheets — flowing alongside a structured Quran and Islamic studies schedule that grows with the child.

Whether your family prefers English medium or Urdu medium, the primary years at Al-Ansaar deliver the same promise: clear foundations, weekly feedback to parents, and an environment where being a good Muslim and a strong student are presented as one identity, not two competing ones.

What Your Child Will Study

The primary curriculum balances languages, numeracy, sciences and Deen every single week:

English language & reading Urdu & handwriting Mathematics General Science Social Studies Nazra Quran (daily) Islamic Studies Computer basics & digital literacy

Nazra Quran is a daily period for every primary student — fluency in reading the Quran is treated as a core subject, exactly like English or Mathematics, so that by Class 5 most children read the Quran independently and many are ready for the Hifz stream.

Why Primary School at Al-Ansaar Is Different

Reading-first literacy

Phonics-based English and structured Urdu reading, with library periods and reading aloud from Class 1 — children learn to love books early.

Concept-based mathematics

Tables, mental math and problem solving drilled through practice and games, so numbers feel friendly rather than frightening.

Daily Nazra & Islamic Studies

A Quran period every day with qualified teachers, plus duas, seerah stories and akhlaq woven through the week.

Early digital literacy

Typing, computer basics and internet safety from the middle primary years — the first rung of our digital skills ladder.

Daily Routine & Class Environment

A primary day opens with assembly and Quran, moves through the core subjects in the freshest hours, breaks for prayer and lunch, and closes with lighter periods — library, computer lab, sports or art on rotation. Monthly assessments track every child, and parent-teacher meetings each term turn those assessments into shared plans rather than surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions — Primary School

Which medium is available for primary classes?
Both English medium and Urdu medium sections run in primary, following the same Islamic studies schedule. Parents choose the stream at admission after discussing the child's background with the principal.
What age is required for Class 1?
Around 6 years, matching the child to the class level as per Punjab norms. The short assessment at admission confirms the right placement, which may be adjusted in consultation with parents.
How much homework is given in primary?
Deliberately moderate — enough to build daily study habits without exhausting young children. Reading practice is prioritized over copying work, and homework loads are reviewed with parents at meetings.
Can my child join the Hifz program during primary years?
Yes — many students enter Hifz from Class 3 or 4 once Nazra fluency is solid. The integrated timetable manages both streams together.
